Determining Ideal Measures for Monitoring Kindergarten Reading Progress

This project is following a cohort of kindergarten students considered to be at risk for reading difficulty, and will monitor their reading progress using a set of published progress monitoring measures for reading.  The goal of the project is to identify the measures that provide the most stable estimates of rates of growth, and the measures in which rates of growth are most strongly associated with later reading skills.


Project KAPERS (Kindergarten Assessment to Promote Reading Success)

Project KAPERS is an investigation of the concurrent and predictive validity of a computer-adaptive reading assessment, STAR Early Literacy.  This project is following a cohort of students beginning in kindergarten to determine the degree to which STAR Early Literacy can identify students who may be at risk for reading difficulties.
